From December 8–12, 2024, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted a meeting within the framework of the project “Promoting Value-Based Education in Higher Education Institutions of the South Caucasus.” The meeting was attended by project partners from Europe, Armenia, and Georgia, while Azerbaijani institutions participated online.
The meeting spanned three working days, during which the project’s goals, objectives, work package leaders' rights and responsibilities, and the timeline were thoroughly discussed. Active discussions took place regarding administrative issues and the processes for implementing time-bound tasks.
The leaders of the first work package, representatives of the University of Northern Macedonia in Greece, presented the methodology for preparing questionnaires and conducting focus groups. The target groups and stakeholders to participate in filling out the needs analysis questionnaires were identified.
During the meeting, the project’s dissemination work package leader presented and finalized the project logo. Both internal and external mechanisms for quality assurance were reviewed, along with financial and administrative management issues. Additionally, the first study visit to Salzburg was planned for May 2025.
The primary goal of the project is to promote value-based education in higher education institutions in the South Caucasus, develop relevant courses, retrain professors, and actively engage the community outside universities in this process.
