The Higher Education Capacity Development Project “GastroTour” funded by the Erasmus+ program at Telavi State University has officially launched.
The event was attended by consortium partners from Georgia, South Africa, Spain, Portugal, and the Czech Republic.
Among the participants of the meeting were representatives of both the academic field and the wine tourism industry.
The hybrid format meeting laid the foundation for a three-year collaboration aimed at deepening the connection between university and industry in the Eno-gastrotourism sector through education, innovation, and strategic partnerships.
During the three-day meeting, the partners jointly planned workshops, visits, and courses to be developed within the project, discussed the project’s goals and 2025 action plan, assessed the project’s educational needs, financial and administrative management, and the project’s dissemination strategy.
Participants learned about Georgia’s gastrotourism potential at local wineries.
